It's so... warm. I thought as my feet touched the soft, warm sand. The feeling of the sand was something new. I had walked off my back porch onto the sand, and immediately regretted it. My loose, black sweat pants would soon make me sweat if I kept them on, and my hair encircling my face would only add to it. I should have worn shorts and my hair back...
I approached the water carefully, and jumped back when the waves attempted to cover my feet in water. I refused to touch it. It was salty. I liked fresh water. Rain water. For all I knew, a sea monster could jump out of the water, and drag me in. With my luck, one would. This place was to new to me, and not something I enjoyed.
My morning had started out... difficultly. First thing I heard was my mother yelling at me to leave the house. I didn't mind her accusations of being an anti-social lard, that was normal. It was the time she was screaming at me that bugged me. Six o'clock in the morning. Not a good time for me. When my mother pulled the covers off of me, I immediately screamed in her face. "WHY CAN'T YOU FUCKING LEAVE ME ALONE!" were my exact words, actually. That's when dad got involved, and I had to get up. I then took a shower to try to get rid of the feeling of defeat. The new cleanliness I felt when I got out of the shower was immediately gone when I reached the kitchen downstairs. I was wearing my absolute favorite pair of sweats, a white tee, and my wet hair was hanging limply down the sides of my face. The site of my dad sitting at the island bar, reading the newspaper and eating the eggs my mom had cooked had made me want to gag. The room was filled with the natural light that spilled through the 'window wall', as I called it. The complete glass wall. The first thing my dad had said when he saw me was... "Why don't you go down to the beach?". I had responded with, "Over my dead body." My mother turned, said a few cuss words and waved her hand a few times, and I was walking off the back porch.
And now I am here, looking at the water, feeling sea sick. I was on land. It made no sense to me. But, hey, what did right now? My zoning had left me not thinking about the water, and it was until I felt the salty water touch my feet did I notice I was ankle deep in it. I let out a scream, and turned to glare at a person l heard laugh behind me. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . copyright to shanni of blank pages. steal it and she will hunt you down and haunt you in your sleep <3

sighing the blonde haired boy walked into his living room, only to be let down again. where was everyone? he knew his mother was off today-not that he wanted to spend time with her- merely the fact that she was missing from there home was what he was curious about. he knew chelsea had gone to the old diner, probably to flirt her way through more free chocolate shakes, but he had thought she would have been back by now. with a clown like frown he grabbed his keys off the kitchen counter, a bottle of water and left through the front door, locking it behind him. he wasnt sure where he was going to go, perhaps see a movie by himself, or maybe not because that sounded way to lame in his head. somehow, twenty minutes after leaving his home, he ended up at the beach. he hadnt really planned on it, nor had he been paying attention to what road he was on.
he merely looked over, saw the waves and golden sand and couldnt resist. hoping out of his truck, he locked it and stuck the keys in his pocket, holding his bottle of water with the opposite hand. the sun was on his shoulders, warming his back. it was so lovely outside, he realized, and he hadnt been outside much in the past few days. he was glad he had ended up at the beach. a moment passed and a close movement caught his eye. turning to look he saw the girl. her brown hair was on her shouders as she played with the waves. she was only a few yards from him, and he took a few steps forward. he scream stopped him dead in his tracks. he couldnt help but laugh when he realized what the scream had been about. and when she turned to him with the glare, a look of apology filled his face. "yo, sorry. i didnt mean to laugh, i just....it was funny, i couldnt help it.....again, im sorry" he gave a lighthearted smile and hoped he wasnt about to get yelled at.

Not a smile or a frown, my eyes showing no emotion. I gave the boy a once-over, blond somewhat shaggy hair, blue eyes, fairly tall, and then folded my arms across my chest. "Well, in any case, you shouldn't have laughed. I could totally call up that sea monster that I saw in the water to eat you..." I said. Even though I tried not to, I cracked a small smile for a split second. It wasn't like he was going to believe that was the reasoning behind my scream. I wouldn't have believed it. It was to far-fetched to be true, even with my luck. "You know, cos that was totally the reason why I screamed. Sea monsters are very scary, you know." . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . copyright to shanni of blank pages. steal it and she will hunt you down and haunt you in your sleep <3
